Pokémon Sword and Shield: April International Challenge Revealed

Pokémon revealed a new sporting event: the International Challenge in April. The International Challenge will be held in Pokémon Sword and Shield online beginning at 00:00 GMT on April 10 and ending at 23:59 GMT until April 13. The Video Game Championship (VGC) rules apply to the international April Challenge. This means the challenges will be in double format, whiles legendary and mythical Pokémon are not legal. Some kinds of Gigantamax would be illegal, too.

The following Gigantamax forms cannot be used:

Duraludon

Garbodor

Copperajah

Machamp

Gengar

Reports suggest that, Players can battle up to 15 times per day. Each player gets seven minutes to move, and there is a total of 20 minutes per battle. Players can earn up to 50 Championship Points towards an invite to the 2020 Pokémon World Championships
