Dota 2 Omega League launched with $590,000 up for grabs

WePlay! eSports and Epic eSports Events have teamed up with a group of European Dota 2 teams to launch a competition dubbed "Omega League"

The Dota 2 Omega League will be feature two regions, namely Europe and the Americas. $550,000 (€436,821) cash prize will up be for grabs (€436,821) for the EU ladder, whiles a combined prize of $40,000 (€31,768,80) will be apportioned to the Americas region.

The  Dota 2 Omega League features eight leading organizations including the 2018 & 2019 The International champions OG Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid,, FlyToMoon, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Alliance, Nigma, and Natus Vincere. Open qualifiers began yesterday July 20th, with the main event running from August 14th to September 6th.

The event takes place on the dates when we are used to seeing The International, and that impacts the level of responsibility we feel about OMEGA LEAGUE.”

According to, WePlay! eSports will produce the English broadcast for Omega League while studio broadcast group RuHub will manage and stream the Russian-language broadcast for the event.
